My Bio
When people ask me "For heaven's sake, were you born in a barn?" I always wink and tell them I might as well have been! I was born in a hospital (contrary to popular belief) but raised outside in the woods and mountains of Wyoming, where I still live. I have been involved in music and the outdoors for longer than I can remember and they are both deeply a part of me. I like to capture the wonder that is all around me through a camera lens as well as through the pen and pencil and in my poetry and writing, and it's exciting that I can share it here in deviantArt! Currently I am attending college with a major in Psychology, and I still find time for my hobbies including all the crazy outdoor stuff I love to do. My family is also a huge part of my life, and I love them with all my heart.
A note on my username, SheArcher: It's supposed to read like She-Elf or She-Wolf, just in this case denoting a female archer (me), since archery is one of my all-time favorite things to do. Also, take out the 'h' (or glance at it really really fast) and it spells 'searcher', which is me to a t.

The Story behind the Glacier Photos

Okay, so recently I uploaded two photos of the same unnamed Alaskan glacier, and I've decided to share the story behind the photos because it's (I think) a pretty grand adventure story.
These were taken last summer (2013) after I graduated from high school. My family has friends who run a private fishing business during the summer that is based in Soldotna, Alaska, and we decided to go pay them a visit. So we flew up there and did the Denali bus tour in one day- which was not nearly enough; I could spend the rest of my life in that park, wolves, grizzlies, and all- and then motored almost five hundred miles across what looked like Middle Ear

Hi, I'm new here!
I'll probably be pretty prolific in the first week or so as I pick out and submit the best examples of my work, and then I'll drop down to about a 'normal' rate of adding artwork and increase in looking around at the magnificent work of other people. I'm a college student who's been dabbling in art my whole life. I'm by no means professional at all. Sometimes I impress myself (not usually though. I'm really really tough on my work), but I really don't have a money driven motive for crafting things; I just do it to relax.
